Experience and Research
Student Researcher
I gained experience in experimental physics working as a student researcher while at Goucher College. These experiences taught me how to design, conduct and analyze experiments using various instruments and techniques. I gained hands-on experience in measuring physical phenomena such as electric fields and magnetic forces. I also learned how to apply the principles of physics to real-world problems and communicate my findings effectively. I enjoyed working in a collaborative environment with my peers and principal investigators, and I developed valuable skills in critical thinking, problem-solving and scientific inquiry.

Engineering Internships
I have gained engineering experience working as a design engineer at a local makerspace and at a small nuclear engineering firm. At Katapult, I learned the fundamentals of rapid prototyping, mastering quick manufacturing methods and iterating through designs. At FPoli, I also learned how to collaborate with other engineers, clients, and how to document and present my work professionally. I gained valuable insights into the mechanical design process, industry standards and best practices, and the challenges and opportunities in the field.
